Auto Theft Education Program
HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM DETAILS
- Approximately 45 minute lesson plan together with video – Presenter.
- Designed to be applicable to students at the high school level. Curriculum materials provide information for new drivers on parking smart and “how to” on avoiding becoming a victim of auto theft.
- Pre and post tests: To be administered before and after you give the presentation to see how much information the students have gained due to the presentation. Tests to be mailed to are given at time of presentation to a staff member of the Louisiana Automobile Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority; some schools or the authority staff may invite a guest speaker to accompany the presentation and curriculum materials. This curriculum is designed to teach good decision making skills and applying those decision making skills to specific situations involving car theft.
- Curriculum is accompanied by a report form to be completed by the school Resource Officer and returned to the Louisiana Automobile Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority.
