Auto Theft Education Program
MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM DETAILS
- Approximately 50 minute lesson plan together with video (8 minutes and 51 seconds) – Presenter.
- Approximately 50 minute second-day lesson plan by teacher on Applying Sound Decision-Making Skills.
- Designed to be applicable to students at various grade levels and various classes such as social studies, physical education or science.
- Schools can elect to implement the curriculum and show the video with the classroom teacher introducing it and leading the discussion; other schools may choose to have a staff member from the Louisiana Automobile Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority or other official from the Louisiana Department of Insurance teach it during one class period; some schools may invite a guest speaker to accompany the presentation and curriculum materials to deliver additional information regarding auto theft and insurance fraud.
- This curriculum is designed to teach good decision making skills and applying those decision making skills to specific situations involving car theft.
