The Office of Property & Casualty is responsible for the regulation of all commercial and personal lines of property and casualty insurance in the state of Louisiana. This includes but is not limited to homeowners, auto and workers' compensation insurance.
This office provides protection to Louisiana consumers by determining whether enhancements or modifications are necessary to assure continued compliance with the Louisiana Insurance Code (Title 22), LDI Bulletins, Regulations and Directives. The office also provides the public a forum for addressing major property and casualty issues facing the state.
Additionally, the Office of Property & Casualty is charged with reviewing all rates, rules and forms submitted by insurers and can help consumers determine whether or not to file an insurance complaint if they feel their rights have been violated.
