Department of Insurance Office of Consumer Advocacy
To Participate in Community Meetings with State Senator Broome

The Department of Insurance Office of Consumer Advocacy will be
participating in a series of community meetings held by State Senator
Sharon Weston Broome. Department of Insurance staff will be on hand
to respond to questions the public may have regarding their insurance.
The meetings will be held in the Senate District 15 area over the
next three weeks. Senator Broome will discuss important legislative
issues affecting constituents in the district and review her legislative
priorities for the current legislative session, including the recently
passed federal stimulus package and how it will affect the area.
Representatives from the
Department of Insurance, East Baton Rouge Parish Office of Public
Works, Attorney General’s Office, Department
of Health and Hospitals, LSU Hospital, and representatives from the
Mayor’s office in the cities of Zachary and Baker have been
invited to attend the meetings. Senator Broome urges citizens in
the area to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about
important state issues.
