Former Bossier City Bail Bond Agent Served with Cease and Desist Order and Fine Notice
A former Bossier City bail bond agent was served by Department of Insurance Fraud Section Investigators today with a cease and desist order and fine notice for allegedly acting as a bail bond producer without a license.
Ladda Love Hawkins, 36, was served by the Department of Insurance Fraud Section Investigators today with a cease and desist order and a $5,000 fine notice for allegedly selling, soliciting and negotiating bail bonds without a valid license. She is sole owner of Luvbonds, L.L.C.
Hawkins is alleged to have accepted 317 bail bond powers of attorney after her license expired on April 30, 2007. Department records show that Hawkins was issued a Bail Bonds license in August 2003 and her agency, Luvbonds, L.L.C., was issued a Bail Bonds license in March 2005, both of which expired on April 30, 2007. Hawkins has 30 days from time of service to request an administrative appeal.
